Betty Berg
Director of Adult Discipleship and Fellowship x
Live – I've called the PNW my home for the vast majority of my life, having grown up in Bellevue, completed my education in Seattle, and now put down family roots in Woodinville. We live in the house my husband grew up in, and the plan is to stay here until the next generation takes over (no pressure kids!). Work – Before kids, I put my theology degrees to work teaching middle school students Christian Studies at the Bear Creek School. After the kids came along, my biggest desire was to stay home full time with them. During that time, I joined the leadership team of a local moms' group (MOPs International), helping provide community and support for the challenging years of mothering little ones. Starting in 2024, I rejoined the ministry field as the Director of Adult Discipleship and Fellowship, a role in which I get to join two of my favorite things, community and theology. Play – When I'm not chasing the kids around, you can find me taking the dog for walks in the woods, dreaming up projects for the garden, creating things out of fabrics and strings, reading all sorts of fiction, or watching a little more screen time than is probably good for me. |

Director of Modern Worship x
Live - I was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where I lived until the age of eight before moving to the Pacific Northwest. From fourth grade through high school, I grew up in Tacoma, Washington, which became my hometown. Later, I moved to Central Florida, and it was during that season that I gave my life to Christ. In 2015, I returned to Washington and began pursuing the call of worship ministry, a journey that continues to shape my life today. Work - Leading praise and worship music has been my passion since 2018. It began at a coffee shop in Tacoma where a friend invited me to lead worship in his community. From there, I was invited to serve in a church where I spent five years growing in worship, youth, and outreach ministries. In 2024, I joined my first mission trip with YWAM, traveling through Paris, Amsterdam, and London—where we witnessed 14 people genuinely devote their lives to Christ over six weeks. Most of my ministry is spent with youth and young adults. I have started two worship bands —one for youth and one for young adults —based out of Anthem Church Northwest in Federal Way. Both are still thriving and continue to lead non-believers to Jesus. God continues to grow me as a pastor and evangelist, while also nurturing the gifts of teaching, prophecy, and apostolic leadership. Play - When I am not at a Sunday gathering, you’ll often find me exploring the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, writing worship songs, or embarking on long road trips to discover new hot springs across the U.S. |

Director of Local Outreach x
Live - I grew up in Idaho, moved to Washington for college, married my husband, who was in the Air Force, and then moved all over the country: California, Montana, Ohio, New Mexico, and Alabama. When my husband retired, we moved back to Washington and have been in Kirkland since 2016. We love this big town that manages to have a small town, lake-side community vibe. Work - My role on staff is Director of Local Outreach. I am so excited in this new role (previously I was the Director of Adult Discipleship and Fellowship) to represent the hands of God to help our Kirkland community and the greater Eastside community. Outside of Rose Hill, I work part time as a medical assistant and part time as a tasting room associate. Play - In my spare time, I love to read, craft, snow ski, and play on the water. Our kids’ activities can keep us pretty busy. We like taking our dog, Lilo, out for walks around our neighborhood. I enjoy spending time in the company of friends and family. |

Rev. Kristin Jackson
Assistant Pastor for Youth and Family Ministries x
Live - Most of my life has been spent in Washington, but I was born in Georgia and spent a year in Delaware. I grew up in Kent, went to college in Seattle, and lived in the Tri-Cities 2 different times during my adult life. My parents moved to Woodinville in 2016, and I am currently living with them. Work - Youth ministry has been my passion since I did a couple internships at a church in the Tri-Cities during college and I am very excited to be in my first call to ordained ministry. In the past I have worked in youth ministry, young adult ministry, and communications at various different churches. I have also done some substitute teaching in the Kennewick School District when I lived in the Tri Cities, and at Bellevue Christian’s Mack Elementary the last couple years. Currently, along with my job here at Rose Hill, I am also a tasting room associate at a winery. Play - I am a huge Seattle sports fan, so in my free time I am probably watching the Mariners or Seahawks (depending on the time of year) and playing around with my fantasy baseball or football team. I also spend a lot of time reading and watching TV or hanging out with family and friends. My happy place is Disneyland. I love all things Disney, and I try to make a trip to Disneyland once a year. |
Mary Lovett
Office Administrator x
Live – I’m lucky enough to be a native to this area, growing up in Bothell and then settling in the Woodinville area in 2015. Work – I became the administrator here at Rose Hill in summer of 2022 and had some big shoes to fill! I knew that this was where God was calling me to be and I’m happy to use my admin skills to serve the Lord here on the Eastside that I call home. When I’m not in the office the other parts of my days are spent teaching my small studio of music students and participating in local choral and orchestral groups. You might even catch me at worship on Sunday mornings playing on the handbells, piano, or violin! Play – Most of the time if I’m free you’ll find me at home reading under my favorite blanket. But when I’m not putting down roots on the furniture at home I love to spend time with my closest friends grabbing coffee, “geeking out” on our hobbies, going to local art fairs, or exploring new places. |

Rev. Gwen North
Assistant Pastor for Children's Ministries x
Live - I have lived in Kirkland for a decade. I just love living near water, mountains, and trails. There are so many nice people here, and I just love having access to so many coffee shops. Work - I have the best opportunity in the church (if I dare to boast😊). I get to work with the most energetic people, the kids, and the most grateful people in the church, their parents. It is pure joy as I get to teach Sunday School and plan special events for the church families and community. As a person who is a teacher at heart, I find this to be so cool! Play - Exercise makes me happy. I enjoy being outdoors and running, working, biking, or walking my dog. I love to get out and exercise with my family and friends, too. |

Elaine Weltz
Organist/Accompanist x
Live – I’m a true Washington native: born in Seattle, grew up in Mount Vernon, 35 years teaching Computer Science at Seattle Pacific University. Except for two years in Los Angeles (Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at USC) the Northwest has always been home. After residing in Kenmore for many years, my home is once again in Mount Vernon. Work and Play – One of the blessings of being retired is not having to do what feels like work anymore. For me that means doing things I always wished I had time for when I had a day job. My favorite activity is making music with others. Accompanying the choir, ringing handbells, and my outside-of-church music making with the Everett Philharmonic and the occasional recital might sound like work to some, but to me they’re more like chances to play - in more ways than one! In addition to music at Rose Hill I have served as a Session Elder and with the Global Outreach and Women’s Ministry teams. Being Co-Webmaster allows me to use my tech skills a bit, and I highly recommend the Ladies of the Lord (LOL!) Bible study. I also have a few hobbies, particularly cross-stitch and reading. My husband and I enjoy travel (Europe keeps calling…) and trying out new recipes. |

Corporate Treasurer x
Live – My wife, Joan, and I currently live in Vancouver, WA, and spend mid-October to mid-February in Morro Bay, California. Business is handled by email, phone and Zoom meetings. Though we live more than three hours away, our roots at Rose Hill Church go back to 1976 when we started attending and became members after moving to Kirkland from Seattle in 1975. Work – In 2021, I was asked to become Rose Hill Church's Treasurer. I became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) after Rose Hill Church sent us to serve as missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators in 1983. In Wycliffe, I served mostly in financial management roles including Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. In 2017, I retired from Wycliffe. I, with the assistance of my wife, have a tax preparation business focused primarily on pastors and missionaries. We also do internal control reviews in churches. Play – While in Morro Bay, California, we enjoy the beach and warmer, drier weather. We hike, play golf, and enjoy the many other activities in this beautiful part of God's kingdom. In the summer, we like to go camping at the Oregon and Washington coasts to enjoy the beauty we see there. |

Financial Secretary x
Live – I was born and raised in Shelton, WA so am a true native. Met my husband in high school and were married in 1975. We moved to Seattle, got involved in the International Student ministry at University Presbyterian Church as part of our preparation for moving to Japan as missionaries. Spent from August 1980 to June 1991 in the greater Tokyo area. When we returned, we began living in Kirkland and are still here. Work and Play- My father was a CPA so I learned bookkeeping from a young age. Except for a short stint at a lumber yard before we moved to Japan, my experience has been in non-profit accounting. I was the bookkeeper for LIFE ministries in Japan from 1981-1991. In 1993 we switched mission boards to Mission to Unreached Peoples, and I spent 15 years handling donations for them at their main office in Seattle along with becoming bookkeeper for the Christian bookstore, Harvest Logos Bookstore for 15 years. When MUPS moved to TX, I began working at another non-profit, Discovery Institute, in downtown Seattle. I began handling the bookkeeping at the church in 2016, passed it all off after 6 years then took back the in-house donation processing a couple of years later. We enjoy being parents to 4 children and grandparents to 7, tho’ only our 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren live locally. We are both Deacons, help with Sunday morning snacks. I sing in the choir and worship team and coordinate the counting team for Sunday offerings. I enjoy reading and traveling. |
